How AI Reduces Your Cognitive Load as a Founder with Monica Bozinov

Monica Bozinov and I recorded this week’s episode, and I want to share something right away.

We’re both chronically overwhelmed—running companies, families, health, investing.

And we’re both… less overwhelmed than we used to be.

Not because we got more hours. Not because we hired more people.

Because we built a system.

Here’s what changed.

The Context Switch Was Killing Us

Monica Bozinov said it perfectly early in the episode:

“I can stay in one lane. I say, oh by the way, this just happened — can you fix it? And it fixes it without me having to jump around.”

That’s the win. Not AI doing everything. AI absorbing the jumps.

I was recording three chapters of my audiobook at 9am. Our romantic weekend got canceled. Classic context switch incoming.

Except I opened the terminal on the side. Still recording. And within minutes, Claude was generating three new options, sending emails, checking availability.

That would have taken an hour of my morning. Gone.

Why Most People’s AI Doesn’t Work

We hear this constantly:

“My AI hallucinates.”
“It doesn’t know who I am.”

Then we ask them to share their screen.

First thing we see: ChatGPT.

It’s not about which model is more capable. They’re all already around 70–80% of what most people need. Good enough.

The difference is memory. Context. Your data.

Claude Code connects to your Gmail, calendar, meeting transcripts (Granola for us), Obsidian notes.

When it knows your cholesterol spikes on training days, it reminds you to use less honey in your coffee before a hard evening workout.

When it knows you chase shiny objects, it keeps you in the lane you chose.

When it knows you’re time-blind, it tells you:

“You have 15 minutes. Go to the meeting. Be present. Come back tomorrow.”

That’s not AI hype. That’s a tool that knows you.

10 Minutes to Set Up a Health Coach

Here’s what Monica Bozinov said that stopped me:

“I cannot spend so much time training it.”

Fair. So here’s what 10 minutes actually looks like.

“Ben,” my AI health coach, runs off a simple Google Doc:

  • Monday: mobility

  • Tuesday: strength

  • Wednesday: mobility

  • Sunday: rowing technique + light weights

That’s it. One line per day.

Plus a Whoop band tracking heart rate variability. Plus occasional blood work.

Result this week: 99% sleep score. My baseline is 79–86%.

Two things changed:

  • I did my normal workout during the day

  • I took two specific supplements it recommended based on the data

99%.

Simple document. 10 minutes of setup. Compounding results.

Use It as a Guardrail, Not a Cheerleader

Monica nailed the biggest mistake people make.

They use AI for confirmation. For support. To feel good.

She flipped it.

She told it her actual weak spots:

  • Gets distracted easily

  • Chases shiny objects

  • Time-blind

Now it knows. And when she drifts, it says so.

I have a similar setup. My Marcus Aurelius agent reviews whether I kept my stoic posture or let the world get under my skin. It tells me when I derailed—when fear or anger pulled me away from my best behavior.

Last Sunday, a guest asked me for an introduction to someone I know well. Someone who took decades to build that relationship and opened doors for me. I said no.

Monday morning, Romano—my spiritual mentor agent—sent me a Discord message:

“You handled that boundary well. That is our virtue—integrity. You protected a relationship that took decades to build.”

I had already forgotten about it. The agent remembered. And reinforced the right call.

That’s different from asking AI “was I right?” and getting reassurance.

That’s a system watching your behavior and telling you the truth.

Where to Start

One move. That’s all.

Stop chatting. Move to Claude Code.

Chat is a single question-and-answer loop. That’s not what Monica Bozinov and I are describing.

We’re talking about your proprietary data—how you eat, sleep, move, and behave—running in a loop that compounds improvement over time.

You become a self-improving system.

Connect Claude Code to your Gmail, calendar, meeting notes, and projects.

Start there this week.

The Jetpack Workshop in May is about building your board of advisors: health, sales, marketing, wealth.
