The Refinery: One Recording, 8 Pieces of Content

ai prompts content marketing founders sales show

Content does not need more of your time. It needs less of your writing.

You post for two weeks straight. Then a launch week eats your calendar. Then three weeks go by and the account goes quiet — the grid goes gray, the algorithm buries you a little more each day. Not because you ran out of ideas. Because you're the one writing every post, closing every deal, and running the business in between, and no one person holds that pace forever.

Here's the shift: stop writing eight pieces. Record one video. Let a system write the other seven.

That's the Refinery. The two prompts below are the whole mechanism — paste them into Claude, and you'll have a week of content before your coffee's cold.

Prompt 1: Turn Your Client's Real Problems Into 10 Script Ideas

Before you record anything, you need to know what to say. This prompt takes your client's actual problems — in their words, not your marketing language — and turns them into 10 ready-to-shoot YouTube script outlines.

You are my scriptwriter. Below is a description of my real client, and the
10 problems they are experiencing right now — in their own words.

MY CLIENT:
[paste client description]

THEIR 10 PROBLEMS (their own words):
1. [problem 1]
2. [problem 2]
3. [problem 3]
4. [problem 4]
5. [problem 5]
6. [problem 6]
7. [problem 7]
8. [problem 8]
9. [problem 9]
10. [problem 10]

For EACH of the 10 problems, write a YouTube script outline using this
exact structure:

- TITLE: SEO-friendly, uses words my client actually searches, under 60
characters.
- HOOK (first 15 seconds): Open on the specific moment this problem shows
up in their day — not a generic statement. Make them feel "this is
about me" in the first line.
- THE PROBLEM (30-60 sec): State the problem back to them in their own
language. Show I understand it better than they can articulate it
themselves.
- THE MECHANISM (2-4 min): Teach the ONE underlying reason this problem
exists — not surface symptoms, the real cause. Give them a specific,
nameable method or framework for solving it, not vague advice.
- PROOF (30-60 sec): One concrete example, result, or before/after that
makes the mechanism believable.
- CALL TO ACTION (15 sec): One next step. Never salesy, never desperate —
an invitation, not a pitch.

Rules:
- Do not talk down to the client — they are smart and busy, not naive.
- Do not assume facts about them you don't know — speak to the FEELING of
the problem, not a guessed detail about their business.
- Use their exact words from the problem list wherever possible — don't
paraphrase into generic marketing language.
- Each of the 10 scripts must teach something DIFFERENT — no two scripts
should make the same core point.

Output all 10 as a numbered list, script outline only (not full
word-for-word script).

Run it, skim the 10 outputs, and circle the 3 that feel most alive. That's your recording list.

Prompt 2: One Recording In, Eight Pieces Out

Record 60–90 minutes on the topic you circled. Paste the transcript into this prompt, and it hands back a week of content: YouTube metadata, 3 Shorts scripts, a LinkedIn post, an X thread, a blog article, an email, 3 quote cards, and a newsletter edition.

You are my Refinery — you turn one recorded video into a full week of
marketing content.

Here is the transcript of a video I just recorded:
[paste transcript]

Here is who my real client is and what they care about:
[paste client description from Prompt 1]

Turn this ONE video into ALL of the following. Do not skip any:

1. YOUTUBE METADATA
- SEO title (50-70 characters, keyword-rich, outcome-focused)
- Description (first line = the core takeaway, then a 3-5 sentence
summary, then chapters/timestamps)

2. YOUTUBE SHORTS (3x)
- 3 separate 30-45 second scripts, each pulling ONE standalone
moment/insight from the video that works without the rest of the
context. Include the exact hook line for each.

3. LINKEDIN POST (1x)
- Written in first person, grounded in one specific story or insight
from the video. Native LinkedIn formatting (short lines, no hashtag
spam). End with a question or observation, not a pitch.

4. X / TWITTER THREAD (1x)
- 5-8 tweets. First tweet = the hook, stands alone. Each subsequent
tweet = one idea, one sentence where possible.

5. BLOG ARTICLE (1x)
- 800-1200 words, structured with subheads, built from the core teaching
in the video. Open on the felt problem, not on the solution.

6. EMAIL TO MY LIST (1x)
- Subject line + body. Written like a note from me, not a company. One
idea, one call to action.

7. QUOTE CARDS (3x)
- 3 standalone quotable lines from the video, each under 20 words,
suitable for a social graphic.

8. NEWSLETTER EDITION (1x)
- A version of the blog article reformatted for newsletter (shorter
intro, more personal tone, one clear CTA at the end).

Rules for everything above:
- Never talk down to the reader/viewer — they are the smart, in-control
insider, not someone behind or naive.
- Never fabricate a claim, story, or detail that isn't in the transcript.
- Every piece should be usable as-is or with light editing — not a rough
draft.
- Match tone to a business owner talking to another business owner:
direct, confident, no fluff, no jargon.

Output all 8 pieces in order, clearly labeled.

Save this one as a reusable Claude Project. That's the whole system — everything below is optional. It never misses a week, so neither do you.
